| JANE MINKLEY, MEd. |
|
| " Jane Minkley is the ideal role model for a mother of gay children. Since I met her two years ago, she has given me acceptance, love, and support as if I am her own. I was Southern born and bred, and my closed minded, controlling, immediate family does not interact with me or make any attempts to learn what it means to be gay. Jane is to be commended by the gay community worldwide for her tireless attempts to educate families of gay people." Preston Smith, 41, Musician, New York. |

Read Jane’s interview with the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, “Proposition 2 personal for mother of gay sons.” On November 8, 2005, Texas voted on a Texas Constitutional Amendment defining marriage. The amendment passed overwhelmingly but Jane took the opportunity to speak out against discrimination.
